Orlando (MCO) and Miami (MIA) to Prishtina and Tirana: one-stop routings that actually fly
There's no nonstop from Florida to Kosovo or Albania, so every trip connects once. We matched Miami's and Orlando's own lists of nonstop destinations (checked 21 October 2026) with the hubs that fly on to Prishtina or Tirana, using Tirana airport's flight board and the airlines' own Prishtina pages. We don't print fares: they change by the hour.

From Miami (MIA)
Miami airport's October 2026 list of cities served includes nonstops to Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Frankfurt and Munich (Lufthansa), Zurich (SWISS), London Heathrow (American, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic), Rome Fiumicino (American, ITA Airways), Warsaw (LOT), Paris CDG (Air France) and Madrid.
To Prishtina: Istanbul on Turkish Airlines (its US booking page lists Miami–Prishtina itineraries), Frankfurt then Eurowings, or Zurich then Edelweiss.
To Tirana: on 21–22 October 2026 Tirana's board showed flights from Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Frankfurt and Munich (Lufthansa), Zurich (SWISS), London Heathrow (British Airways), Rome Fiumicino (ITA Airways) and Warsaw (LOT). Each of those hubs also has a Miami nonstop.
From Orlando (MCO)
Orlando airport's international service page lists nonstops to Frankfurt and Munich (Discover Airlines), London Gatwick (British Airways, Norse Atlantic), London Heathrow, Paris CDG (Air France), Madrid (Iberia), Lisbon (TAP Air Portugal), Amsterdam (Delta), Dublin (Aer Lingus), Manchester, Edinburgh and Reykjavík (Icelandair). It lists no Istanbul flight.
Through Frankfurt: on to Prishtina with Eurowings or to Tirana with Lufthansa. Through Munich: on to Tirana with Lufthansa. Through London Heathrow: on to Tirana with British Airways.
Other airports Orlando flies to also had Tirana flights on 21–22 October 2026, mostly on low-cost airlines: Amsterdam (Transavia), London Gatwick (Wizz Air UK), Dublin (Ryanair) and Madrid (Wizz Air). Those are usually separate tickets; read the next section first.
One ticket or two?
Under the EU rules, a missed connection on a single booking counts by your arrival time at the final destination: if you get there 3 hours or more late, you may be owed compensation. The UK CAA warns that on a self-transfer (two separate bookings) you have no such protection if the first flight's delay makes you miss the second.
So if you combine a transatlantic flight with a low-cost leg, leave a long gap between them. Our claims page explains which rules cover each leg.
Best months to go, and when to book
We have no official fare data, so we won't name a "cheapest month". What the numbers do show: at Prishtina in 2025, August (513,708 passengers) and July (458,348) were the busiest months and February (307,418) the quietest, according to Kosovo's Civil Aviation Authority.
If you're flying in July, August or over the holidays, book as early as you can and set a fare alert. With flexible dates, late winter is when Prishtina is quietest.
Flying into Tirana in winter? The US State Department notes that flights there are often delayed or cancelled by heavy fog in the winter months.
Our own route
Bati, who runs Mirë se erdhët, flies Orlando or Miami to Prishtina about four times a year with one connection. In 2026 his Turkish Airlines TK78 flight was delayed and he filed a €600 claim under Turkey's SHY-YOLCU rules. The claim is still pending.
