Going between Prishtina and Tirana is something we all do, for weddings, family or a flight from the other airport. If you're driving, our driving guide covers the toll, the border and the insurance. This one is for everyone else.
Buses to Tirana leave the Prishtina bus station (Bill Clinton Street) from platform 19. On the station's price list, Arbeni Tours, Arditi Tours, Kabashi, Kei Reisen, Memi, Sharr Travel, Shpresa AL, Tirana Metropol and Vëllezërit Thaçi all charge €15.50 one way and €20.50 return. One more line on the same list (Albus) shows €5.50 one way, which looks like it could be a typo, so check with the operator.
There are departures all day. On the station's departures board on 21 Oct 2026, Tirana buses were listed from midday until 23:00, often more than one an hour. The same list also has Kabashi to Durrës and Milot (€15.50) and Llixha 2001 to Elbasan (€10.50).
Book bus tickets online: Gjirafa Travel sells Prishtina–Tirana tickets in both directions for €20 one way or €25 return, which is more than the station's list price. It lists departures from 00:05 to 23:30 from Prishtina, and from 01:00 to 22:30 from Tirana, mostly from the East Terminal (Terminali Lindor), though some companies use their own offices. The trip takes about 3.5 to 4.5 hours. It also has a Prishtina–Tirana airport route. Checked 21 Oct 2026; check with the operator about the exact pickup point.
From Prishtina airport, bus 1A goes straight to the bus station. In Tirana, Luna's airport bus leaves from behind the Palace of Opera and Ballet every full hour, 24/7. If you're catching a flight out of Tirana, leave yourself plenty of time.
We couldn't find an official published fare for a Prishtina–Tirana taxi, so we don't give one. If you go by taxi, use a registered company, agree the full price for the whole trip before you leave, and confirm that the car and driver can cross the border.
Inside each city, these taxi apps show the price before you book (checked 21 Oct 2026).
