About Mirë se erdhët
Mirë se erdhët means “welcome” in Albanian. It's a practical guide to Kosovo and Albania, in English and Albanian, free to read.
What the site is and who it's for
It's written for the Albanian diaspora in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the US coming home, and for anyone visiting Kosovo or Albania for the first time.
You'll find city and region guides, flights and flight-delay claims, driving and practical info, events, recipes and traditions.
Who runs it
Mirë se erdhët is run by Bati Rexha (Florida, USA), who flies home to Kosovo several times a year, with a co-editor on the ground in Kosovo.
Why it exists
I fly home to Kosovo several times a year, and I wanted one place with the practical answers for those trips, in both English and Albanian, with the sources shown.
When my Turkish Airlines flight TK78 was delayed in 2026, I filed a €600 claim under Turkey's SHY-YOLCU rules. It's still pending, and you can follow it step by step.

How we research our guides
Our guides are built from sources you can check yourself, such as government, airport and airline pages, UNESCO and published research. Each guide lists its sources and shows a “checked on” date for when we last checked them.
Rules, prices and timetables change, so always confirm with the official source before you travel.
Found a mistake or something out of date? Email hello@mireseerdhet.com with the page and what's wrong, and we'll check it and fix the page.
What this site isn't
We're not a booking agency, a travel agent or a government site. We don't sell trips or tickets, and we can't issue visas, documents or refunds.
Some links are affiliate links: if you book through them we earn a small commission, and you pay the same price. Read how we make money.
